About the Training
The Integrated Social Development Centre (ISODEC) with support from the Global Financial Integrity (GFI) is organising a one-day training for investigative journalists to equip them with the necessary tools and knowledge to investigate and report on illicit financial flows effectively. The training will cover identifying suspicious transactions and leveraging digital tools for investigative purposes.
What You Will Learn
- Introduction to Illicit Financial Flows: Gain a comprehensive understanding of what constitutes illicit financial flows and their global impact.
- Investigative Techniques: Learn advanced techniques for tracing financial transactions and uncovering hidden assets.
- Legal and Ethical Considerations: Understand the legal frameworks and ethical considerations in reporting financial misconduct.
- Case Studies: Analyze real-world case studies to understand successful investigative approaches.
Who Should Apply?
- Investigative journalists with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Journalists with a demonstrated interest in Illicit Financial Flows (IFFs) reporting.
- Freelancers and staff reporters are both welcome.

Scholarship
After the training, there will be one journalistic fellowship opportunity for the best concept developed on illicit financial flows in Ghana. This opportunity will provide financial assistance to the best concept for investigative research and reporting on any issue related to illicit financial flows in Ghana.
