There were an average of over 120 in-person participants and about 106 online participants representing government, MDAs, media, students, academia, civil society, traditional authorities, youth, community representatives, private sector actors, and the public from Ghana, Nigeria, Liberia, and other African countries.
The three-day conference examined the political economy of Africa’s extractive sectors, focusing on equity, gender, climate justice, and subnational governance. Its goal was to generate actionable insights for a just transition and accountable natural resource management that uplifts communities and safeguards the environment.
